Truth Bites Аюрведа

Ayurveda basic principles

Take a good care with Ayurveda

Health is the minimum (also the maximum), needed in life so to flourish and be blissful as it is the nature of life. By health, Ayurveda says physical, mental, emotional and social state which is a process. Many powers are influencing this process, mainly the fire, as a symbol of the living life itself.

The goal of Ayurveda is to keep the health in the healthy one and to bring it back in the unhealthy….by truth knowledge in action. Living in an artificial times, we need to know more, so to align with the nature… and be free of doughs, based on changing theories, beating each-other in time.

When the body feels healthy and vital, good things are happening by themselves 😉

Feel more, slow down a bit, so to perceive from inside what is good  now,…….. for me………. in this season………. in this conditions of climate…………. time of the day or night… because all these are effecting.  All mater.

There is not one character and one principle…. but it is way more simple than the world created complications, we are living in now.

In our days,  before going out, a mom is applying so many artificial things on herself and on the baby’s skin, that any other creature on this earth would be shocked

Ayurveda is for everyone, because this is a truth knowledge about the nature, and nature is life itself.  Knowledge for the self, for the origin of all beings (plants, minerals, animals) , their properties and affections.

It is more than useful because Ayurveda is giving this understanding, witch is so innate and flow trough the ages, that feels like truth and stays forever. Than, questions like “Is it good to eat cucumber?” disappear, and you know when to eat, where, who and how much of a cucumber . Those are the Principles. Eternal and working, no mater what.

->First principle of the nature is that everything changes all the time. And static is a short state of accumulating so the dynamic to be realized.

->There are the Tri Guna dance– dynamic equilibrium of the qualities of the nature- Rajas Tamas, Satva- Dynamic, Static, Light. They are in a constant transformation one of the other so to keep the life alive and the maintenance of the creation.

We can say that these are: energy, matter and information….always in relation and dance.

-> there are five Elements– Panch Maha Bhutas, the compound of all forms in our Universe. Whatever of whoever we could imagine is built by the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space. And I write with capitals, because they are not just components, I talk about nature forces with characters, properties and real physic and psychic power.

They have qualities that we can find everywhere – for example, stability, resilience, and resistance are qualities of the Earth, but we find them in the character of people, animals, and other forms of life. Water is the flow, Fire is light and warmth, Air is movement and space…is sound, vibrations, vastness, emptiness- Ether.

-.> Tridosha– Doshas are three shaped characters formed from the combination of the elements:

Vata– space and air – light, dry, rough, cool, subtle, thin, moving, penetrating, fast

Pitta– fire and water – warm, shiny, yellowish or reddish, smelly, little oily sharp, fluid

Kapha– water and earth – heavy, slow, stable, soft, oily, dense, cold, smooth

Each of the doshas has main qualities- mentioned up, and wherever and whenever we find them, this particular dosha is acting and affecting.

They act in the bodies, every body, season, mood, phenomena, but in different correlation or quantity. They have the tendency to vitiate, and each tend to dominate.

so having the deeper knowledge of the doshas we could keep the healthy balance in our life process.

* Earth and Water form Kapha dosha, which is the biology in the body, the heaviness, stickiness, tenderness, softness ….and the power of holding together and multiply cells. Elephant is a Kapha dosha animal. Humans with dominant Kapha dosha are dense- lots of hairs, heavy body, big eyes, big lips, big bones, hands… dense and big teethes; Slow in movement, decisions, speech… loving and juicy

Kapha is dominating when we store the food in the stomach, store the elements and any kind of growth and accumulation is again the power of Kapha.

*Water and Fire form Pitta dosha, which is a warm, colorful and passioned character. Pitta is the chemistry in the body- all the reactions, hormones, enzymes, the power to digest and transform. She is in the middle, so people with dominance of Pitta dosha are moderate in look and they have strong appetite and hunger. Also, they are fiery and could be angry or passioned.

Pitta dominant Animal is the lion. In the digestion Pitta is the chemical reactions and the stomach acid, helping the minerals, vitamins to disintegrate so to travel where they are needed.

All kind of changes from one state or form to another, is Pitta in action. Trans-Form-Action

*Air and Space form Vata dosha. The physics in the body, the movement of the eye lids, all sense organs all work organs, the movement of the blood, all liquids, the thoughts are moving because of Vata. Vata is the transporter, the career of the content trough the vessels.

Vata dominant people are tourists, they are thin and light in structure, dry, restless, noisy, chatty, their minds (and limbs) are constantly moving.

Vata animal is the goat. Eating only the tips of the bush, the goat already looks at the next one.

In the process of digestion, Vata eliminates the unneeded rest of the food material. Whenever we find the pressure, moving things out from the body, this is the main function of Vata.

Different types need different routine, food, sleep, activities and habits so to keep the health. There is maybe one ayurvedic combination, which could be used in all doshas (when disbalanced), but in a different way. This is  Triphala

->Another principle is that if one is use to something from childhood, this became his nature, and even if this is poison for the others, one can tolerate it well. The body builds mechanisms to cope.

What a evolution, isn’t it!

This is in the meaning of contraindicated combinations (of fruits and vegetables), or other foods together, having conflict or not suitable properties.

->Similar increase the similar, and the opposite- diminishes it.

Simple as that…but there are still many, who try to cure inflammations with warming…

-> To receive, empty space is needed. We need to forget many things, wrong knowledge, so to understand deep, and root the healthy habits.

->Illness comes to free us from something, sometimes it’s from past lives, maybe we did something wrong, let it pass and go away.

->Joy, laughter and fun are great medicine, cure and work.

->Pray and respect the food, so to give only useful things, Gratitude. To eat sad is the worse.

-> Alignment with the rhythm of the Day and night, the rhythm of the sun is highly beneficial for every human.

There are combinations off foods, which are forbidden in Ayurveda, because their properties are not matching well.

There are suitable and contra indicated activities in every state and conditions of body mind and soul.

The knowledge of main principles in Ayurveda is so vast useful, so even with a small course with a teacher, you could apply in the daily life and make it easy, pleasant and beautiful.

Align yourself with the nature! Stay healthy, wealthy and wise!
